Thats pretty fascinating and shows how many different environments they can thrive in.

They play an important role in nature

Moths are not always damaging pests, many moths are actually important pollinators and play an important role in many ecosystems. While butterflies get most of the attention, many moths move pollen from flower to flower. We don't really think about them as playing an important role in nature, perhaps because most moths are nocturnal animals and we don't watch them work during nigh time.
