What are bed bugs?

Another sign of bed bugs is spotting their excrement around your home. Bed bug excrement looks like small, dark spots on bedding, furniture, or walls. If you see these spots, it's a good idea to check for bed bugs in the area.

Above is a size comparison of three common pests in the UK. As you can see, the silverfish is a lot bigger and has a very unique appearance. The carpet beetle is more similar but is slightly smaller and comes in a different color.
